The plant for precipitating and/or separating fine particles of high density from mixtures has several vertically stacked separating units (1,2,3,4) into which the material is fed in suspension form. Each of the separating units (1,2,3,4) is connected to a flow-equalising vessel (5,6,7,8) and all vessels are connected to a common supply (13). The vessels (5,6,7,8) are cylindrical with tangential inlets (9,10,11,12) and outlets (18,19,20,21) placed against the direction of the turbulence. The outlets on the vessels are fitted tangentially and at a distance underneath the supply connections. The inlet vessels are mounted above each other. The supply connections are fitted with baffle elements in form of dampers. |
