Method for producing plastics powder powder by spray drying consists of first dissolving the plastic in a solvent to form a liquid, the atomising this in the presence of a parting agent, then collecting the product mixed with the parting agent, and finally separating the parting agent and drying the powder thus obtained. Specif. the solvent mixture is sprayed at a pressure of 6.555 kg/cm2 into a bath of the parting agent. Prefd. parting agents are water, petroleum, solvent benzol and oil of turpentine. Spherical particles are obtained. |
