PURPOSE:To effectively use a titled stopper by a slag cutting method, by constituting it of an upper rocking and hanging part and a lower stopper part, and constituting the lower stopper part of a refractory cylindrical body which has embedded a heavy substance core body in the inside. CONSTITUTION:When an operating device is driven, this long stopper 1 can be moved freely in a converter. Also, it is hung in a rocking state, by fitting a hanging pivotal pin 7 attached to the tip of a stopper supporting arm 24, into a longitudinally long hole 6 provided on the upper part of a stopper handing rod 5. Accordingly, it is possible to make the stopper 1 move so as to follow a flow of molten steel to the steel outflow port, and to be opposed exactly to the upside of the steel outflow port. Also, weight being optimum for the steel outflow conditions containing specific gravity of a molten metal is given to the stopper 1 by adjusting the overall specific gravity of a heavy substance core body 4 and a refractory cylindrical body 3, therefore, it is possible to exactly cut a slag in case of steel outflow without floating it. |
