1310870 Gear-grinding HURTH VERWALTUNGS GmbH 3 Dec 1971 [3 Dec 1970] 56302/71 Heading B3K A gear-wheel grinding machine comprises flexible bands 29, 30 for producing a toothgenerating rocking motion of the workpiece 25, the bands being secured at one end to an arcuate rockable member 28, on which they alternately wrap themselves, and tensioning means 66, 63, adapted to alter the tension of member 29 in synchronism with the generation motion. The other ends of bands 29, 30, are connected to a holder 31 by tensioning levers 44, 52, and holder 31 is slidable on a guide 31a, adjustable on a bracket 32. The latter is vertically movable by a lead screw 35 in a column 33. Work spindle 24 is indexed by a head 26, and is carried on a carriage 21, which also carries an adjustable bar 66, the latter engaging with an adjustable pivotable lever 63 so that as carriage 21 moves to rock member 28 and workpiece 25 by bands 29, 30, the tension of band 29 is varied so as to correct the teeth being cut on the workpiece. Grinding wheel 75 is carried in a pivotable and vertically displaced head stock 76. The tensioning means can be controlled electrically, hydraulically, pneumatically, or mechanically. |
