PURPOSE:To enable the electrolytic solution in a storage battery to be measured at low cost and with high accuracy, by disposing a hollow pipe so that respective ends of said pipe are located in different depth of the electrolytic solution, and by providing on the way of said pipe a differential pressure type-pressure sensor which converts a pressure into an electric signal. CONSTITUTION:In this figure, 1 is a battery jar of a storage battery, 2 is a lid of the battery jar, 3 is an electrode group consisting of positive plates, negative plates and separators, and 4 is electrolytic solution. 5 is an electrolytic solution- measuring device, which is composed of a hollow pipe 8, a differential pressure type-pressure sensor 9, and an outgoing-wire 10, that is, said hollow pipe 8 is disposed so that respective ends 6 and 7 are located in different depth of the electrolytic solution 4, said differential pressure type-pressure sensor 9 is disposed on the way of said hollow pipe 8 so that the pressure difference between pressures at respective ends of said hollow pipe can be detected, and said outgoing-wire 10 is a wire taken out of said pressure sensor outside of the battery; said outgong-wire 10 is connected to an indicator in which electric signals from the pressure sensor 9 can be converted into suitable forms and indicated. |
