NEW MATERIAL:A compound (KA-6606 XIII, XIV, XV, XVI or XVII) expressed by formulaI, II, III, IV or V. USE:An antibiotic substance exhibiting an antimicorbial activity mainly against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. PROCESS:A microorganism, belonging to the genus Saccharopolyspora, and having the ability to produce the antibiotic substance KA-6606 (FERM-P No. 3912) is cultivated, and the substance 6606 is collected from the culture fluid. The respective substances KA-6606 XIII expressed by formulaI, KA-6606 XIV expressed by formula II, KA-6606 XV expressed by the formula III, KA-6606 XVI expressed by formula IV and/or KA-6606 XVII expressed by formula V are isolated from the resultant substance KA-6606. |
