摘要 PURPOSE:To ensure starting of discharge readily when a trigger voltage is applied, by enclosing a part, on which nickel is attached by electrodeposition, in the inside. CONSTITUTION:A thin nickel tape piece 10 is formed by attaching nickel 63 (Ni<63>) on nickel tape by electrodeposition. The amount of the electrodeposition and the size of the thin piece are determined so that the intensity of radiation emitted from the nickel 63 does not reach an amount which is harmful to a human body. The thin nickel tape piece 10 is attached to a metal part 12, which is wound around a thin discharge tube 6, through a metal rod 11 by spot welding. It is desirable that the position of the thin nickel tape piece 10 does not shield a laser light path to a mirror 4 through the thin discharge tube 6 and is located in a path of a discharge plasma to a cathode 7 from the end part of the thin discharge tube 6.
