PURPOSE:To expand the passage cross section area of a pump suction side and to increase the pump capacity by constituting so as to suck the air into a pump chamber through suction passage ports provided at both ends of a pump suction side passage formed in a pump housing. CONSTITUTION:This pump is constituted so as to suck the air into a pump chamber 1a through both suction passage ports 30a, 30b provided on both ends of a pump suction side passage 1b formed along the axial direction at the side of the pump chamber 1a in a housing 1. Accordingly, the passage cross section area of the suction side can be expanded, and as a result, the pump capacity can be increased with less suction resistance, thereby the pump can be made small- sized. In addition, the air flow can be balanced at such a both side suction type, and a thrust bearing being so far used is no longer requied, thus the pump can be made small-sized in the lengthwise direction, and the efficiency and durability of the pump can be also improved. |
