PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a liquid developer with age and to decrease the fogging of a magenta dye image by processing a color photographic sensitive material contg. a prescribed magenta coupler with the liquid developer contg. a specific compd. CONSTITUTION:The color photographic sensitive material having an emulsion layer contg. the magenta coupler expressed by the formula I is processed with the liquid color developer contg. the compd. expressed by the formula II as a preservative. In the formula, Ar denotes a phenyl; Y denotes a group which is eliminated by coupling reaction; R denotes an acylamino, anilino, etc.; R1 denotes an alkoxy substd. alkyl of 1-5C; R2 denotes an (alkoxy substd.) alkyl or 1-5C. The chelate agents expressed by the formulas III, IV are preferably incorporated into the liquid developer. In the formulas, L denotes a (cyclo) alkylene, phenylene, etc.; L1-L7 denote an alkylene; R1-R7 denote H, hydroxyl group, etc. |
