PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsion cosmetic of oil phase/water phase or water phase/oil phase type having improved storage stability, skin safety, utility characteristics, etc., by blending a dextrin fatty acid ester with mucin, an oily substance and water. CONSTITUTION:(A) dextrin fatty acid ester which is preferably an esterified substance of a dextrin having an average polymerization degree of 10-50 glucose units and a higher fatty acid ester and has >=1.0 substitution degree based on 1 glucose unit is blended with (B) mucin, (C) an oily substance and (D) water (purified water) to give an emulsion cosmetic of oil phase/water phase type or water phase/oil phase type having improved storage stability, skin safety and utility characteristics (spread, viscosity, moisture retention and water resistance), etc. The ratio of the components is 0.2-5wt% component A, 0.2-2.0wt% component B, 10-70wt% component C and 20-80wt% component D based on total amounts of the cosmetic. |
