During thinning felled trees are transported from mobile bases to work or processing places. There the waste is sepd. from the pulpwood and sawn timber. The waste is transported to a drying plant which uses heat from heat pumps. These use excess heat from industrial units such as a pulp factory or a nuclear power station. The dried waste is then transported to a plant where it is pelletised, made into briquettes, granulated, pulverised etc. The product is stored and/or distributed to the user. (Provisional Basic previously advised in Week K15).
|
