PURPOSE:To maintain mechanical strength with a three-point support and obtain a structure of holding a color selection electrode that can easily be applied to even a small-sized color cathode-ray tube by curving at least one spring out of three springs along the corner of a frame and welding and fixing it to the frame. CONSTITUTION:In three springs 3a, 3b, and 3c, the springs 3a and 3c are curved along the corners of a frame 4 and the welding point a5 of the spring 3a and its engagement point A5 are provided on the two sides that form the corner, respectively (an x indicates the welding point. One welding point may be located at a corner d or at an end e on the other side). This applies also to the spring c. The spring 3b is provided on one side without curving the corner. As a result, both triangles made by the welding points a5, b5, and c5 and the engagement points A5, B5, and C5 can be prevented from being flat. Besides, the springs 3a and 3c can be extended and their mechanical strength can be increased exceedingly since they are supported by the corner. |
