METHOD OF JOINING MOLDED RING TO BRIM OF PAPER CUP

PURPOSE:To obtain in a simple manner a paper cup with a molded ring integrally formed, by setting a previously molded paper cup in molds, and injection a resin into a ring cavity adjacent to the brim section of the paper cup. CONSTITUTION:The previously molded paper cup 1 is set in the female mold 5, and is clamped using the male mold 4 so that the brim section of the paper cup 1 is nipped between the molds. Then a resin from an injection molder is injected via a runner 12 and a sprue 13 into the ring cavity 11 formed by the clamping to stick the resin molded into a ring-shape to the top curl section of the paper cup thereby the intended product is obtained.
