PURPOSE:To provide a four-stage rolling mill capable of shape-controlling ranging from small to large widths and covering a wide range, by constituting work rolls movably in the axial direction and holding back up rolls enabled to perform bending action. CONSTITUTION:Rotation and a movement in the axial direction are transmitted to a pair of work rolls 1 and 2 by a driving device 9 through roll chocks 5 and 6 and connecting rods 7 and 8; for a material 26 to be rolled having small width, the mutually overlapped length of the work rolls 1 and 2 is made to be approximately equal to the sheet width of the material 26 by moving an upper work roll 1 to the right side and a lower work roll 2 to the left side respectively. Further, in roll bending, bending cylinders 18 and 19 are extended respectively to reduce the distance between outer chocks 12 and 13 and beams 14 and 15 through yokes 20 and 21 and ring plates 22 and 23 thereby applying bendings to back up rolls 3 and 4 to cause upward and downward recesses respectively by putting respective roll chocks as the supporting points. |
