PURPOSE:To control quantity of suction gas and to reduce the energy for driving power by detecting the quantity of the smoke produced in the metallic molds of casting machines and controlling the quantity of releasing gas of a gas releasing installation according to the quantity of the produced smoke. CONSTITUTION:Several units of metallic molds 1 of casting machines such as core molding machine or low pressure casting machines are installed, and capturing hoods 2 are provided to the respective molds. The gas releasing ducts 3 of the hoods 2 are gathered at one gas releasing duct 4, through which gases are sucked and released with a fun 5 provided in said duct. Temp. sensors or photoelectric tubes 6 are provided right above the respective machines 1, and detect the temp. elevation or the degradation in the transmittance of light when much smoke is produced, thereby detecting smoking conditions secondarily. Devices 7 for varying the quantity of gas consisting of motorized dampers or the like are provided to the respective ducts 3 and are connected electrically to the detectors 6. According to the degrees of smoking, the openings of the dampers 7 are controlled to large or small openings. |
