PURPOSE:To minimize the generation of errors during switching by setting up a frame containing to data, and performing in-use/standby switching of data ways at the time of generation of frame. CONSTITUTION:A descrambler circuit DSC is informed previously that the 4th frame FL4 is a scheduled frame for in-use/standby switching, so once the arrival of this frame is detected, a control circuit STC is commanded to open both switches SW1 and SW2. Therefore, the 4th flame FL4 in the output of a repeater RP is in an all-''0'' or all-''1'' state. Consequently, the 4th frame FL4 contains no data on a transmission side and each repeater is not in descrambling operation, so the 4th frame FL4 is an empty frame wherein no data is present, so that even if there is a timing error in in-use/standby switch at the time of timing TC, no data error appears. |
