PURPOSE:To produce molds of desired shapes easily by disposing a partial mold in a portion of a pattern part, depositing an airtight flexible film on the surface of the partial mold and the other parts of the pattern part and eliminating the areas exceeding the stretching limit of the film. CONSTITUTION:Molding sand contg. a binder is packed beforehand in the finned parts 21 in a pattern part 19 corresponding to the finned parts 17 of a mold 16, and part thereof are projected to the top surfaces of the pattern part 19, whereby a partial mold 22 is formed. An airtight flexible film 23 is deposited on the surface of a core print part 22A and the surface in the parts of the part 19 where the mold 22 is not disposed and the inside of the space part 20 in the pattern part is evacuated to stick the film 23 tightly. A molding flask is disposed on the part 22, and molding sand contg. no binder is packed in the space part enclosed by the surface of the film 23 and the inside wall surface of the molding flask. The packed molding sand is evacuated and solidified by suction, whereby the mold having a desired shape is formed. |
