<p>PURPOSE:To enable partial omission of reversers by changing the purpose of employment of motors according to the direction of the advance of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When an electric rolling stock advances in the direction wherein a load thereon turns large, disconnectors 3, 8, 13 and 18, as well as contactors 23 and 25 for switching the braking of power-running, are closed, and all of the four motors are employed as motors for power running. When the vehicle advances in the direction wherein the load thereon is small, the disconnectors 3 and 8 are closed, the fields of series field devices 5a and 10a are converted by reversers 4 and 9, and thereby motors 5 and 10 are driven, at the time of power running. Meanwhile, the disconnectors 13 and 18 are held open and motors 15 and 20 are not employed. At the time of braking, the disconnectors 13 and 18, as well as contactors 24 and 25 for switching the braking of power-running, are closed, and regenerative braking is conducted by the motors 15 and 20. At this time, the disconnectors 3 and 8 are held open, and the motors 5 and 10 are not employed.</p> |
