<p>The dyes are produced by reaction of anthraquinone imine of formula:- with di- or tri- 1-5C alkyl phosphite esters or mixtures of these. The esters are pref. ethyl esters, and the reaction is carried out in inert organic or inorganic solvents, pref. N-methyl pyrrolidone, at 80 degrees-170 degrees C. They give clear strong blue shades on polyester, polyamide and acetate fibres, with good fastness.</p> |
