PURPOSE:To prevent the inside wall of an intake pipe and an intake port from deposit of fuel, and delay of fuel supply by injecting fuel mist conically from a nozzle of an air assist type fuel injection valve toward the bevel portion of an intake valve. CONSTITUTION:Intake is supplied from an intake manifold 6 connected to a surge tank 4 downstream of a throttle valve 2 to an intake port 10, while air is introduced from an adapter 16 of an injection valve 12 through a conduit 18 to be jetted from the periphery of a nozzle 20 in the form of high speed air flow. Also, pressurized fuel is sprayed from a fuel nozzle portion 24 and abuts against the high speed assist flow injected from the nozzle 20 to be granulated by and combined with the assist flow and injected into the intake port 10. The injection valve 12 is provided to pass the axis XX' near the intersection A of the axis YY' of an intake valve 28 and the bottom surface 32 of closed intake valve and fuel mist is sprayed around the bevel portion 34 of the intake valve 28. |
