PURPOSE:To provide possibility of machining in any desired place and to make the whole machine in small size, by allowing the body of machining device to perform processing while traveling by its own motive on the work to be processed, with its level corrected and controlled to a certain specific value with respect to the reference surface for processing. CONSTITUTION:At the lower part of the body of machining device 10 is furnished a processing reference keep control mechanism 16, in which a steel roller rolling on the work to be processed 11 and a shaft supporting the roller are installed movable vertically by a servo motor. The machine body 10 is provided with a numeral control device to perform control of machining in accordance with a processing pattern. The machine body 10 is equipped with a propelling force generation mechanism 30, which drives with motor an elastic tire pressed always against the work 11 surface by a constant pressure cylinder, and can thereby travel for itself. Drive of the servo motor in the abovementioned processing reference keep mechanism 16 is made in conformity to the command of a photosensor such as laser beam generator 25, photoelectric transducer 26, auto collimator 27 and reflection mirror 28. |
