TISSUE CULTURE OF BORAGINACEAE PLANT

摘要

PURPOSE:To proliferate the cells of a Boraginaceae plant, rapidly, and to produce a large amount of a naphthoquinone compound, stably, by culturing the cell in a liquid medium having a specific cytokinin concentration. CONSTITUTION:A Boraginaceae plant, e.g. Lithospermum erythrorhizon Sieb. et Zucc., is subjected to the tissue culture in a liquid medium having a cytokinin concentration of <=5muM, preferably at about 10-35 deg.C, especially at about 23- 28 deg.C. The cytokinin is, e.g. kinetin, benzyladenine, etc.
