摘要 PURPOSE:To cook rice grains of good tastes, by introducing the rice grains into the upper part of a vessel having a porous partition plate and water in such an amount as to dip the rice grains below into the lower part thereof, heating the vessel, heating the water to flow out of the vessel, and cooking the rice grains. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 1 consisting of a perforated plate having a siphon tube 8 is placed on a stepped part 6 of the inner vessel 2. The upper part of the siphon tube 8 is passed through a seal packing 10 and a lid 7 and opened above the lid 7. The outer periphery of the lid 7 is mounted on the mouth part of the vessel 2 by a packing 11 to close the mouth part. Rice grains 3 are introduced into a space on the partition plate 1, and water in such an amount as to dip the rice grains 3 below is introduced into the vessel 2. The vessel 2 is then closed with the lid 7 and heated. The water 4 in the vessel 2 is made to flow from the siphon tube 8 to the outside of the vessel 2 by the steam pressure, and the rice grains 3 are cooked by the steam from hot water (4a) remaining in the vessel 2.
