<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a preferable connection of the open ends of thermoplastic resin hollow units without blocking the connected part by connecting the ends of the hollow units, inserting a pin into the hollow units before solidifying the connected part and removing an internal bead. CONSTITUTION:The ends to be connected of thermoplastic resin hollow units 2, 3 which are heated by a hot plate or the like are butted and fusion-bonded, a pin 4 which has an outer diameter slightly smaller than the bores of the hollow units 2, 5 is inserted into the hole 8 of the unit 2 before the resin is solidified, is inserted until the pin 4 is passed through the connected parts of the hollow units 2, 5, an internal bead 7 is deformed and flowed to the gap between the unit 5 and the pin 4, and is secured thinly along the inner wall of the connected part. In this manner, even if the hollow units have bores less than 5mm., the connected part is not blocked, but a preferable connection can be obtained.</p> |
