<p>Feeder walls and other sand mould components are made by a two-stage process consisting of firstly making a primary structure from coarse refractory sand or grain and a binder followed by impregnation of this with a slurry consisting of a liq. binder and a fine grain refractory. Process improves the bond between the coarse grain material and closes the large pores near its surface to a depth of 5 mm or more.</p> |
