PURPOSE:To operate an engine in a desired condition by a method wherein a fuel supply rate is controlled in a constant load state and a relative change in the engine function is detected and the detection values are followed. CONSTITUTION:An A/D converter 26 converts the analogue signal from an intake manifold negative pressure sensor 22, coolant temperature sensor 23, throttle opening sensor 24, battery 25 and the like into a digital signal by multiplex, and thus obtained digital signal is transmitted to a CPU30. The CPU30 is also inputted with the output from a cranking switch 27 and the output from an ignition switch 28 which is provided through a waveform rectifying circuit 29. The CPU30 operates according to a program prememorized in a ROM which is included in the CPU30 to transmit the digital value of fuel injection rate to a timer 31, where the digital value is converted into a pulse width. The output of the timer 31 is then transmitted to a drive circuit 32 of an injector. |
