The guide for holding insulating blocks between the floor of one room and the ceiling of another, comprise rigid tabs (26) extending downwards from concrete beams (1). The tabs (26) incorporate thin regions which allow them to be folded. The tabs pass through the insulating blocks and into mountings (3) having upwardly directed prongs which bite into the blocks and improve the rigidity of the assembly. Having passed through the mountings (3), the ends of the tabs are folded over to hold the mountings and insulating blocks in position.
