The assembly forms both the water (11) and expansion (12) chambers of a radiator for an internal combustion engine. The top of the water chamber is connected to the base of the expansion chamber by a degassing pipe (28), carried inside the expansion chamber. The top (30) of the pipe is bent 180 degrees and is placed, almost sealed, in a hole (26) in a top cross wall (25) of the water chamber. The expansion chamber ends above this wall by an annular edge (14), with a cover (15) on it. The pipe is held in place by ribs (35) on the cover.
