A method of manufacturing an article of protective clothing for the body of the type comprising an inner lining having the general shape of a sheath, an intermediate backing element and an outer protective covering, in which the lining is firstly placed on a mould and a layer of covering material is then placed on the lining on the mould of the backing element, characterised in that before the application of the layer of covering material, a backing element having the general shape of a sheath section, having a certain degree of elasticity at least in the radial direction, is wound around the lining, this backing element being held in place possibly by means of its own elasticity during the outer covering stage, and in that the lining and the outer covering are then connected together.</p> |
