The haulm puller has driven contra-rotating rollers forming a gap between them in a frame. Above the gap is a conveyor, delivering the haulm emerging from the gap away from the travel direction, typically an auger, or formed by two intermeshing contra-rotating augers (7,8), and with a guide plate (10) above them in two curved portions joined together, while the augers can be of opposite pitch. The design ensures that the haulm is deposited on the ridge again, thus preventing the tubers being exposed.
