Silane compounds of the structure H3Si[SiH2]mH and R4-nSiHn wherein m is 0 to 3 inclusive, n is 0 to 3 inclusive and R is C1 to C10 hydrocarbon are used with supported bis(cyclopentadienyl)chromium [II] catalysts for the polymerization of olefins in order to improve the productivity of the catalyst.
