The mixtures comprise 75 to 83% by weight of diethylene glycol bis(allylcarbonate), 11 to 16% by weight of dimer of this diethylene glycol bis(allylcarbonate), 1 to 3% by weight of trimer of this diethylene glycol bis(allylcarbonate), 0 to 7% by weight of diethylene glycol bis(allylcarbonate) polymers or copolymers, the said mixtures containing - less than 0.1% of water - less than 1% of monosubstituted ester - the invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the said mixtures by transesterification and to their use for the production, using polymerisation, of objects which can be employed in optics.
