PURPOSE:To improve the safety of an objective system, by monitoring an autocorrelation function of an error signal for failure detection, triggering a probability density distribution function through failure detection, starting calculation for failure diagnosis. CONSTITUTION:A fluctuation signal y(t) is picked up by passing through a temperature signal detected by a detector 3 installed for the measurement of state physical quantity of an objective system 1 for failure detection and diagnosis to an AC amplifier 4 and an LPF5. A failure detection and diagnostic operation processing device 6 inputs the signal y(t), specifies an autoregression model of the fluctuation signal, calculates a forecast value (yj) of the fluctuation signal, obtains an error signal (gj) between the fluctuation signal and its forecast value (yj), and obtains the autocorrelation function of the signal (gj). The value of this function is compared with an alarm limit value to detect a failure generated in the system 1, the operation of the probability density distribution function is performed, the result is compared with a prepared diagnostic tape and the result of comparison is outputted to a diagnostic result display device 7. display device 7. |
