PURPOSE:To obtain a band material for high tension bundling which is excellent in such a characteristic as tensile strength, as it remains cold-rolled, by specifying such conditions as hot rolling, a temperature of finish rolling and winding, and cold rolling, for a slab containing the specific amount of C, Si and Mn. CONSTITUTION:Steel consisting of 0.10-0.30wt% C, <=0.50% Si, 0.3-1.2% Mn, and the residual part consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities is melt-manufactured. This steel slab is heated to 1,050-1,200 deg.C, is hot-rolled, and subsequently, its finish rolling is ended within a temperature range which is <= an Ar3 transformation point and >=650 deg.C. Subsequently, it is wound up at 480-650 deg.C, and after that, is cold-rolled by 40-55% cold draft. According to said conditions, it is possible to obtain a band material for high tension bundling which is excellent characreristics of quality of material such as strength, elongation, etc., at a low cost, without executing a heat treatment after cold rolling. |
