PURPOSE:To obtain a powder developing device which never has a failure in development due to a detecting means for the remaining amount of toner provided corresponding to a two-division position where the amount of toner is minimized, by providing a deflecting guide member which deflects the motion direction of colliding toner to the axial line direction of a sleeve and also divides it into two. CONSTITUTION:When a deflecting guide member 9 is fitted as a blade 6 to a hopper 1, toner 3 carried through the rotation of a sleeve 4 to strike the member 9 is put in rotating motion, but guided to deflecting guide pieces 90a and 90b simultaneously and deflected and divided into two in the axial line direction of the sleeve 4 over spiral motion, forming a part with a minimum amount of toner at the boundary part A. In this case, a detecting means for the remaining amount of toner is provided corresponding to the boundary part A, so the amount of toner at said boundary part A is detected to supplement toner, thus preventing the formation of white stripes, etc., due to a deficiency in toner on the sleeve. |
