PRODUCTION OF STABLE ALPHA-L-ASPARTYL-L-PHENYLALANINE METHYL ESTER

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain aspartame having excellent storage stability and useful as a sweetener, without using high-temperature drying and redrying processes, by drying wet aspartame crystal in air containing more than a specific amount of water. CONSTITUTION:Wet crystal of alpha-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester is optionally granulated to a granule having a diameter of 1.0-4.0mm and dried in air having an absolute humidity of >=0.015kg/kg to obtain the objective substance. The drying is preferably carried out with an aeration dryer or a fluidizing dryer at <=80 deg.C.
