PURPOSE:To make high head power generation possible with a seawater level, by forming a head proportionate to the range of the tide between the open sea and the breakwater inside and using seawater head energy stored in a turbine, while lifting the water level up to that of a pumping-up dam with a storage pump interlocked with the turbine operated. CONSTITUTION:Shutting down the seawater required for the generation of power by means of a breakwater 2, a sluice gate 3 available for pumping power generation, a seawater turbine 4 and a storage pump 5 pertaining to this gate are installed on said breakwater 2 shutting down the seawater and the sluice gate 3 is shut down by using the range of the tide. Withi this, an effective head is formed between the open sea and the breakwater inside 2 in accordance with the in-and-out tide, setting down seawater energy made in this low head as a base energy, and the sluice gate 3 is opened, i.e., water inside the water break or open seawater repeats it coming in and going out and seawater head energy stored in the turbine 4 at this time is fully used to operate the interlocked storage pump 5. In addition, the seawater lifted up to the level of a pumping- up power dam 7 is stored and thereby the high head power generating using seawater can be achieved. |
