PURPOSE:To decrease resin content of an electrode plate and increase mechanical strength, life, and electrical performance by varying resin content according to its place when the mixture comprising a nickel active mass, a conductive material, and binder resin is pressed on a current collector. CONSTITUTION:The mixture comprising a nickel active mass, conductive material, and binder resin is pressed on a current collector 1 such as metal net, expanded metal, to form a nickel electrode plate. A large-content-of-resin layer 2 is formed in the portion in contact with the current collector, and large- cintent-of-resin layers 2', 2' are in the surface of the plate, and small-content- of-resin layers 3, 3 are in other portions. Thus, the binder content of the nickel electrode plate can be decreased. |
