The power transmission system using internally toothed drive belts, also used toothed pulleys with teeth designed for smooth running & minimum power loss. Each groove between two teeth is symmetrical about its radial axis and U shaped. Each flank is formed by a sloping faced between two drives, each curve forming part of a circle. The height(d4) of the outer curve is about a guarter of the complete depth(d6) of the groove. The bottom of the groove is formed by a straight line between two curves. The curve(28) at the top of each tooth is connected to the top of an adjacent tooth by a line forming part of a circle which is based on the diam. of the pulley.
