PURPOSE:To aim at simplification in manufacturing an inner tube in the way turning it into a straight tubiform type, by setting up a couple of first inner tubes with a built- in electrode each as well as a couple of second inner tubes proximate to the first pairs at the within of an outer tube, while providing discharge guide holes corresponding to these inner tubes. CONSTITUTION:A couple of first inner tubes 5 comprising electrodes 3 each at the lower end and bottling up the upper end are set up at the within of an outer tube 1 which seals mercury and a noble gas, along the longitudinal direction of the outer tube 1 while a couple of second inner tubes 7 are set up in position proximate to the inner tubes 5. In addition, a fluorescent substance layer 10 is laid on the inner wall of the inner tubes 5 and 7 each and also a discharge guide hole 6 is formed at the upper end side of the inner tube 5 while a corresponding discharge guide hole 8 is formed as well at the upper end side of the inner tube 7 and another discharge guide hole 9 at the lower end side of the same tube 7 respectively. Therefore, discharge passages A as shown in broken lines are made up whereby lamplighting can be done besides all inner tubes 5 and 7 are turned into a straight tubeform type, dispensing with bending jobs, so that they are excellent in strength and can be produced in a very easy manner. |
