PURPOSE:To reduce light fatigue tendency and to prevent deterioration of image quality by vapor depositing a carbon specified in hardness to form a photoconductive layer on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An electric charge injection blocking layer 2 and a photoconductive layer 1 composed essentially of the carbon having a Knoop hardness of >=100 prepared by high vacuum vapor deposition are laminated in succession in the substrate 3 to form the electrophotographic sensitive body. When the photoconductive layer 1 is separated into a charge generating layer 4 and charge transfer layer 5, the charge transfer layer 5 is composed essentially of said carbon, thus permitting deterioration of image quality to be prevented even during successive copying, printing resistance and photosensitivity to be enhanced. |
