1291270 Jewellery extension MILNER KING 26 Jan 1970 [15 Oct 1969] 50576/69 Heading A3H [Also in Division F2] A link 1, one or more of which may be used to adjust the length of a bracelet, has a laterally extending slide cavity 5 at one end, open at at least one extremity 6, and a laterally extending slide member 3 at the other end adapted to fit into the slide cavity 5 of another link, and friction or positive means for securing adjacent links together. A web 8 between the slide member 3 and the body of the link is slidable into a slot along the side of the cavity 5 of an adjacent link. The securing means comprises force-fitting the end 9 of slide member 3 into an irregular end wall 7 of a cavity 5, pinning the links together, a spring pin 17 engageable with a socket 19 of another link, or a screw 23 which engages the slide member 3 of a connected link. A clasp comprising two halves 11, 14 having a slide member 3 and a cavity 5 respectively at their adjacent ends and having connecting pieces 12 at their outer ends, one or more links 1 being lockable between the halves to extend the associated bracelet, which is secured to the connecting pieces 12. |
