PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing powder of Paeonia albiflora Pall. (peony) or Paeonia suffruticosa Andr. or an aqueous extract thereof, etc., and capable of exhibiting improved effect on the improvement of skin roughening, liver-spot, ephelis, pimple, itching, etc. in the form of a cream, nursery powder, soap, etc. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition containing powder of Paeonia albiflora Pall, (peony) or Paeonia suffruticosa Andr. or an aqueous extract thereof as an essential component. The crude drug component has a long history as an internal medicine and high safety. Furthermore, the continuous use thereof contained in a cosmetic has improved effect on the improvement of skin roughening, liver-spot, ephelis, pimple, itching, etc., and suitable for the drug component to be mixed with the cosmetic generally in continuous use. The Paeonia albiflora Pall. in the component is the dried root thereof, and the Paeonia suffruticosa Andr. is the dried root bark thereof. The aqueous extract is obtained by extracting the root or root bark with water or aqueous alcohol, e.g. 30% ethanol, at 15-25 deg.C, and the mixing ratio is 0.005-2wt% based on the total crude drug. |
