PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic domain optical element with advatages such as high speed, high density, non-volatility and low power consumption, by controlling magnetic bubbles with a current. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular pattern hole 50 is formed for the crossing part of the 1st and 2nd conductors 20 and 30 for both the layers at a location coincident with the diagonal direction on the plane. The 3rd conductor is mainly used to mask light from bubbles when information is ''0'' and a large pattern hole 60 is provided. When power is applied to the conductor 20, an induced magnetic field is caused to one end of the pattern hole 50 to the opposite direction as the bias magnetic field. The magnetic field acts like an absorbing point (force) to the bubbles of a magnetic bubble film 10. The magnetic field on another end of the pattern hole 50 acts like a repulsion point (force) to the bubbles. The bubbles, therefore are transferred. |
