PURPOSE:To obtain a device which can transfer without hindrance even if an endless tape is used as a mother tape, by providing a means for giving tension of equal magnitude and opposite directions to each other before and after a transferring drum on the mother tape. CONSTITUTION:A mother tape 9 stored in a tape pool 18 is wound around a transferring drum 5, a slave tape is press-stuck on the mother tape, a transfer magnetic field is given from a magnetic head 11, the tapes 9 and 1 are moved in a press-stuck state and the information of the mother tape 9 is transferred to the slave tape 1. In this case, capstans 12 and 15 and pinch rollers 13 and 16 grip the mother tape, allowing to provide inverse and equal tension at a carrying-in and -out path to the drum 5. Thus, both the tapes 9 and 1 are run at the same speed and phase, allowing the eliminate the shift of transfer. |
