<p>The discharge orifice through the end wall is closed by a port-hole cover which can be swung clear on a hinge to allow full bore discharge from the orifice if required. Formed integral with the port-hole cover is a tap which can be adjusted to control flow from the discharge orifice via the tap delivery nozzle. This combination fitting is used to prevent or control flow of ice-cream from a horizontal barrel, ice-cream mfg. machine. The fitting is easy to make and inexpensive. By swinging the fitting out of the way on its hinge, a full flow of ice-cream can be used to fill large containers.</p> |
