PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a glove box of bucket type having openable checking mechanism by mounting a check spring at a hinge shaft extension and engaging it with a slide member of a box body, thereby reducing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION:A hinge 7 is mounted through screws to the lower part 6 of a box body 4, is fixed through a bolt nut 11 to a lower member 8 of an instrument panel 1, and a body 4 is rotatably mounted to the panel 1. Then, a check spring 14 is fixed via bolt nut to the lower member 8. In this case, the spring 14 is rotatably mounted in advance on the intermediate part 13 of a hinge shaft 12, and is positioned. A slide member 18 is engaged at both ends 21 with the recess 20 of a supporting member 19 provided at the lower part 6 of the body 4, and is secured with stopper plates 22, 23. When the body 4 is rotated toward the opening direction, the member 18 is engaged with the check part 16 of the spring 14 and is positioned at the intermediate position. |
