<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the extent of overshooting during the warm-up operation of a heater and to prevent rollers, elements, etc., from damaging, by providing a temperature detecting element in a free contacting and separating state to an upper roller which comes into contact with a toner image. CONSTITUTION:Over the upper roller 1a of heat fixing rollers 1 which clamp and carry a sheet 2 for carrying a toner image 3, an arm 4 having a temperature detecting element 5 atop is provided rotatably. During the warm-up operation of a heater, while rollers 1a and 1b stop rotating, the element 5 provided atop of the arm 4 is in contact with the circumferential surface of the upper roller 1a, but when the temperature attains a specified temperature while starting a copying and once a roller ON signal is applied to the base of a transistor Q1, a solenoid 9 operates, and consequently the arm 4 turns upwardly, thereby separating the element 5 from the upper roller 1a.</p> |
