In the case of a cover strip which has two support regions which prevent it from being pulled off involuntarily, the first support region being fitted around and thereby held by an edge arranged on the outside of a seat receptacle of a vehicle seat and projecting away from the seat, the second support region is composed of an integrally formed projection shaped like a lug, positioned in front of the first support region and engaging in a latching manner into an associated step of the edge.
