What is described is a device for stabilising the lower links of an appliance-mounting apparatus of a motor vehicle which can be used for agriculture and forestry, by means of which device either an absolutely rigid fixing of the lower link or an elastic force centering of the lower links can be ensured simply by throwing over a blocking means. It is thereby possible to fix the lower links in a predetermined position, without any braces between the lower links, and at the same time, when work units are coupled to the appliance-mounting apparatus, to ensure a reliable centering of the lower links, so that care is taken to ensure that, even when heavy work units are raised by means of the lifting arms, a reliable centering of the work unit is guaranteed. In this way, the mass forces caused by transverse accelerations are effectively absorbed, so that the driving behaviour of the tractor is improved and damage to the three-point mounting and to the stabilising device is avoided.
